Project Introduction:

This project blends multiple business formats, targeting an urban, sophisticated clientele seeking tranquility and style. The design focuses on simplicity, clarity, and cultural depth, creating an inviting space that reflects Jiangnan’s cultural essence.

Design Highlights:

  1. Flexible Layout:
    • The unconventional wedge-shaped floor plan accommodates a mix of coffee, casual dining, bookstore, and creative product displays.
    • Diagonal Lines and Partitioning:
Extensive use of diagonal cuts and semi-open partitions creates a sense of separation between functions while maintaining a cohesive visual flow.
  2. Cultural Expression:
  1. The design incorporates a modern interpretation of “Jiangshan Qianli Tu” (A Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains) by Gao Cen, one of the “Eight Masters of Nanjing” from the Ming-Qing period.
  2. The painting’s elegance aligns with the muted tones and refined materials used in the space, emphasizing Jiangnan’s values of sophistication, intellect, and individuality.
  3. Decorative Features:
  1. Contrasting Elements:
A deliberate mix of rustic items (such as old wooden barrels, millstones, and pebbles) with delicate lighting, greenery, and miniature landscape arrangements creates a harmonious yet dynamic environment.
  2. Mood Enhancers:
Woven lights, slender branches, and ecological plants enhance the serene and natural atmosphere.
  3. Cohesive Theme:
A water feature adds a sense of ceremony and serves as a natural divider, reinforcing the calm and enduring ambiance throughout the space.
