Project Description:
This project is located at the main intersection of People’s Square and Nanjing Road, in conjunction with the overall renovation of Shimao Plaza. It aims to create a brand new commercial format, benefiting from a significant flow of tourists in the area. As such, the spatial design emphasizes immediate visual appeal and considers factors like quick table turnover and unobstructed sightlines.
The overall space is inspired by the theme “A Rest Under Cherry Blossoms,” featuring cherry blossom petals scattered above and on the damp floor, delicately unveiling white gauze to reveal exquisite food boxes. This scene is conveyed through the choice of materials, forms, and textures, providing a sensory experience for every guest. The design is meticulous, emphasizing volumetric language while also embracing warmth. It balances both softness and strength, blending architectural language with gentle colors.
Main Materials Used: Wood veneer, metal curtains, terrazzo, and pebbles.
